This place certainly has an interesting… aroma to it.

Involvement[edit | edit source]

Nesha Leesha is standing on the open terrace near the Blushing Mermaid at X: -145 Y: -96; she may sometimes walk a couple of meters to the west. Nesha is a bit nervous and her banter lines reveal that she is visiting the establishment for the first time. When the party approach her, Nesha tells them that a friend invited her for a drink but has not arrived yet.

Nesha Leesha is one of the marked targets listed on the Bloodstained Parchment, those who seek to become an Unholy Assassin of Bhaal Bhaal must kill two targets from the list. When the party reaches Act Three locations, she is still alive. Her name is included in the list alongside those of Cora Highberry Cora Highberry, Chef Roveer Chef Roveer, and Figaro Pennygood Figaro Pennygood, the other living victims.

If the player character tells Nesha that her name is on the serial killer's list, she does not believe them at first. To convince her, they must pass an ability check:

  • [PERSUASION]  Please listen to me. Others have died already, you are in danger. (DC 15)

On a successful check, Nesha becomes frightened and runs away.[1] Jaheira approves +1

If the player character decides to become an Unholy Assassin by completing Impress the Murder Tribunal, they may tell Nesha that they intend to kill her. This turns Nesha and all nearby tavern personnel and clients temporarily hostile, except several Tipplesome Patrons inside the tavern and its owner Captain Grisly. Those characters remain neutral unless attacked.[2]

Notes and References[edit | edit source]

  1. If Nesha was not warned, but still survived, she stays at the tavern terrace until the party's next Long Rest [Needs Verification]. If spoken to, she issues a meaningless phrase, like most common Baldurian characters around the city.
  2. If the Help the Hag Survivors Help the Hag Survivors, Avenge the Hag Survivors Avenge the Hag Survivors, and Save Vanra Save Vanra questlines are not resolved yet, then this makes Auntie Ethel Auntie Ethel throw off her disguise as Captain Grisly and immediately triggers the quest to save Vanra, bypassing all interactions within the quest to help the Hag Survivors.
