Cure the Poisoned Gnome

Thulla was gravely injured by Gekh Coal's poisoned blade.

Cure the Poisoned Gnome is a Quest in Act One of Baldur's Gate 3. The quest can be obtained by speaking with Thulla at the Myconid Colony at Ebonlake Grotto.

Find a cure for Thulla.

• We met Thulla, a deep gnome who was poisoned. The Underdark might hold a cure, but we have to be quick, she won't survive for long.
• Some time has passed, and Thulla's condition may have worsened. We need to find the cure before it's too late.
• Thulla is on death's door. The poison will kill her soon - we can't afford to rest.

Cure Thulla.

• We found an antidote. Maybe this will help Thulla.
• We found an extremely rare noblestalk mushroom, famous for its healing properties. It could help Thulla, or it could help us get rich.

Check in on Thulla.

• Thulla underwent an unusual transformation - we should check in on her.

Quest Complete

• We cured Thulla - she was very thankful.
• Thulla died before being cured.
• We're too late. Thulla died, and the myconids transformed her.
• We left Thulla behind.

Walkthrough

Thulla's location near Soverign Spaw.

Thulla is a deep gnome slave taking refuge in the Myconid Colony. She can be found at X: 83 Y: -97, on the same mushroom platform as Sovereign Spaw.

When the party first encounter Thulla, a successful Nature check reveals that she has been poisoned by a wild weed from the Underdark. She is afflicted with Duegar Poison and has had her health reduced. Once the party speak with her, she must be cured within three Long Rests. After the third Long Rest, Thulla dies and becomes a myconid husk. If interacting with Thulla while she is poisoned.

Thulla can be cured by items that remove the  Poisoned condition:

• Give her the antidote.
• Give her the Elixir of Silvanus.
• Give her an antitoxin.
• Give her a Remedial Potion.
• Give her an Elixir of Poison Resistance.
• Give her the noblestalk as a cure.

One of the possible items to cure Thulla is a Duergar Antidote in the possession Gekh Coal. He can be encountered while exploring the Decrepit Village or by following the  Defeat the Duergar Intruders quest. Spells and abilities such as  Lesser Restoration can also cure Thulla.

After saving Thulla, she offers the Boots of Speed she stole from Sergeant Thrinn as a reward. She asks the party to go and save the rest of her clan of Ironhand Gnomes who are being held captive in Grymforge, thus opening up the quest  Save the Grymforge Gnomes.

Picking any of the following options will result in Thulla dying and a failed quest:

• She won't last long. Finish her off.
• [PERSUASION] You're in a bad way. I could end your suffering, if you want. (DC 15)
  • Give her a quick death.
